Assassin (real name Ivan Andropov) is a minor character in Soldier of Fortune.
Background[]
As the name implies, Assassin is the behind-the-scenes man of the Red Guard. More enemies have unceremoniously been eliminated by him than by any other team member.

Gameplay[]
Like all members of the Red Guard, Assassin is only encountered during MISSION: QUEEN BEE. He is armed with a sniper rifle and will fight like a typical sniper by engaging an enemy from a long distance. Assassin is also the only member of his faction that is equipped with body armor, which means he is marginally harder to kill than the rest of his comrades.
Once killed, he will drop the armor pickup, that can be used by John Mullins to replenish his armor meter. While several bodies of dead Assassins, along with armor pickups, can be found by Mullins in the sewers under the town of Gracanica, Assassin only appears as an actual enemy after John leaves the sewers and enters the town itself.
